Binge-watching Masterchef and my thoughts about season 5.

I've been watching Masterchef online nonstop because 

1. Season 5 had started without me realizing it.
2. I cannot catch it on TV everytime I'm at home. Yes, even the reruns.
3. I'm still in the process of readjusting myself and accepting the fact that exams are here and I need to study more than I have been doing. So this is me, having the feast before the execution.
4. Starworld airs the episodes super late and super slow. They're 10,000 episodes behind.

This part tho! I didn't like how Ahran said that Courtney is someone that she wants to send home because she's a fake bitch or something like that, but her way of throwing her anger towards Courtney is something that made me not like her at all. I thought she sounded insecure and envious of the attention Courtney was getting from the judges, but she's just 18 so it's normal (?)

P.S. I didn't like how she handled the Leslie situation on episode 5, too. Too much disrespect for my preference.

The person I never want to win, but I wouldn't want to go home at the same time because he's fun to watch. Plus the man knows his kitchen well, so kudos, Leslie!

I'm on the 6th episode now and look who came by to say hi. Last year's Masterchef Luca, and the Youngest Masterchef, Alexander! Apparently, theirs are the dishes that the top 16 were making. 

THE MYSTERY OF THE MISSING RAMEKIN

 It all started with the Panna Cotta dish by Alexander that Jaimee attempted to recreate. It turned out a mess because it didn't set right.

What she wasn't able to deliver with the presentation, she compensated with the taste.

 "Maybe if there was the third one..." Queue the drama!

Of course, Chef Gordon Ramsay with his super blue eyes gets to the bottom of the problem and...

Tadaaaa! Here's what really happened.

Maybe in panic, Tyler accidentally got Jaimee's ramekin. At least that's what Gordon believed in, but apparently it wasn't enough to let him stay. Rules are rules. 

 In all fairness, he admitted to his honest mistake and accepted the verdict like a man. He even apologised to the ever-awkward yet super adorable Jaimee who, of course said, "No, I'm sorry that you got mine."

Thus the latest evictee of the Pinoy Big Brother House. Masterchef.

I'm not yet over Eleanor & Park, neither should you be.

I came across some news. Oh, just you know, normal news. Eleanor & Park is going to be a motion picture. You know, by DreamWorks. Okay? Spazz out with me.

Big Red is headed to the big screen.  

The girl with the flaming curls (and not-so-flattering nickname) from Eleanor & Park and
her soft-spoken, comic-book-loving crush will soon be getting the cinematic treatment, with DreamWorks Studios picking up film rights to Rainbow Rowell’s bestselling novel.

“Every girl who has read it says, ‘That was me in high school, or that was me in 7th grade,’” Holly Bario, DreamWorks president of production, tells EW. “It reminded all of us of our own sort of awkwardness, or family dysfunction.

The studio was drawn to the teenage love story for the same reason as its legions of fans. “It’s not the typical story where the ugly duckling is in love with the hot guy,” Bario says. “They’re both trying to find their way. They’re both outcasts.”

Set in 1986, and following one school year in Omaha, the novel follows the tentative romance of two 16-year-olds: Eleanor, a somewhat heavy girl overwhelmed by insecurities and trying to survive an abusive household, and Park, the quiet, half-Korean kid who also doesn’t feel like he fits in, but finds refuge in music and comic books. 

After its publication in February 2013, the book spent 12 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list, and has inspired a passionate, devoted following. 

“The book is uniquely structured in that one chapter is told by Eleanor and one chapter is told from Park’s perspective, and they alternate,” Bario points out. “So we’re trying to figure out how to do that in a movie. There are all storts of groovy stylistic things you could do with voice over, or words on the screen, but we want something that’s realRainbow.” 

With that in mind, Rowell – who is repped by UTA — has also been hired to write the screenplay. “She’s in the middle of writing another book, so we’re patiently waiting for her,” Bario said. 

Already on board the project are producer Carla Hacken, who as a studio executive oversaw Walk the Line and The Devil Wears Prada, and executive producer Matt Kennedy (the upcoming Predestination.)

Once the script is in, a director and cast will be attached. DreamWorks hopes to start shooting in 2015. 

But fans don’t need to wait for that … Who would YOU cast in the two main roles? Better to go with unknowns, or find a pair of young actors already on the rise?

Lea Michele had me crying buckets.

I haven't seen the whole lot, but surely, this part of the most recent Teen's Choice Awards had me crying after watching it. I haven't had the guts to post something about Cory's passing because I'm an avid fan and I just can't take it. Just because. It's just so touching to see something this heartwarming. Gahd.

I'm not sure how I'll be able to get over the passing of a partner, but kudos to Lea, she has gone through it graciously. I hope I can do the same if and only if the time comes. If and only if. Knock on wood.

Lumpy Space Princess

Among the many adorable creatures that inhabit the Land of Ooo, she's a character that really stood out (aside from Princess Bubblegum who is pink) and made my everyday dose of Adventure Time more exciting. I really think she should get more airtime.

The epitome of a bratty, appearance conscious, ranting teenager. Yet, she embodies sensitivity and confidence. The princess of Lumpy Space, anyone who watches Adventure Time should know her.

"I'm sorry that you're starving because I ate all of your crops, even though you're all still really fat, and I probably helped you lose some weight."

Purple and lumpy and complaining about how she's not the center of attention, LSP totally makes life in the Land of Ooo more exciting. She doesn't want anyone making fun of her voice (it's really weird, I even thought she's a he before I knew she's a princess). She's vain and conscious how she looks, always concerned about her lumps.

She's not in every episode of the show. :( I really hope she gets more airtime. She's the cutest!

What I also like about LSP is how she expresses herself.

That moment when you have nothing else to watch so you settle for something you've watched before. I thought having a Harry Potter Marathon would take, like, two days... so, yeah. The Lord of the Ring it is!

Seriously, sobrang haba ng trilogy but it was so epic, I cried. Konti lang. Lol. :D

Just a few things:

This guy. He's just so gwapo. I fell in love with him all over again. Nagtataka lang talaga ako... Bakit hindi siya nauubusan ng arrows? (-__-) Where and when did he even get a refill?! I demand an answer.

Isa pa 'to. Pretty, right? Is she really Steve Tyler's daughter? Dafudge. Ever since Armageddon, I've wondered how come this girl was a product of his sperm.

Smeagol

Think of it weird, but Smeagol is really my favorite LOTR character. Despite the fact that he turned Frodo against Sam, I still love him. I'm hating Precious right now, though. She's the one to blame. Damn, I really hate her (it?).

This is one of the most catching lines (or at least how I understood it) that got me when I watched Layeta Bucoy’s “Walang Kukurap” last September 16, 2012. Presented by the Cultural Center of the Philippines and the Tanghalang Pilipino (TP), this drama was able to capture its audience and ensnare them into seeing the dirty world of politics here in the Philippines. Set in a small town, the play revolved around different kinds

Catwoman is so Hot. Gaaahd, I want my girl self back.

Who would ever forget her portrayal as princess Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi?

Me? A Princess? Shut up!

I remember her as Princess Mia back in my early adolescent years and she's been my girl crush ever since. With that pretty face and a huge chunk of talent, well...

And now!! Her appearance in Batman: The Dark Knight Rises surprised me to the nth level because (1) It was unplanned, so I didn't research on it, and (2) I am still stuck in her image as Princess Mia. Her role in Love and other Drugs, well I prefer to remove it from my brain [too much sexy time].

Anne Hathaway seriously did a great job as Catwoman. She's perfect for that role. Period.

Jamie Campbell Bower is Jace Wayland

News is out! Jamie Campbell Bower is going to give persona to Jace Wayland, the hero in the upcoming movie City of Bones. Now, aren't we excited?

EXCLUSIVE: Screen Gems has made its choice: Jamie Campbell Bower will get the male lead in The Mortal Instruments, the Scott Charles Stewart-directed adaptation of the Cassandra Clare novel series. He’ll play Jace Wayland, starring alongside Lily Collins, who’ll play the lead heroine Clary Fray. She has The Sight, and can see both demons and Shadowhunters. Jace is one of the best of the latter. When Clary’s mother is abducted, she is forced to learn about her bloodline and abilities in order to get her mother back. Clare’s series is comprised of six novels and is expected to launch a franchise. The role has been considered a potential star-making vehicle for an actor, and there has been much speculation on who’ll get it. I’m told the deal is being made now for Bower, who is best known for playing King Arthur in the TV series Camelot,

City Of Bones (In theaters!)

It's Official! Starting next year, Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments book series is going to hit the big screen! I am so excited, I am sure this is going to be another movie franchise that will make every teen fiction fans (like me!) itching for a movie to be shown one after the other.

Rumors have it that the final casting for the movie is done already, so let's just hope that there's going to be a display of awesome acting skills and not some lame newbies to give justice to these characters. I really liked the book so I'm praying (hard) that the movie won't be a crap fest. :p
